State Bill Would Require Both Parents Be Notified Before a Minor Can Have an Abortion

An abortion bill introduced by a state representative in Missouri Friday would require both parents to be notified before a doctor is permitted to perform an abortion on a child.

H.B. 1192, introduced by Rep. Rocky Miller (R), “requires both custodial parents or the guardian of a minor to be notified prior to the performance of an abortion on their minor child.”

Current law only requires the consent of one parent or a judge for minors 17 years or younger. An existing statute also mandates that a parent or guardian accompany the minor on the day they receive the abortion.

I don’t like giving clicks to ‘The Blaze’. I’ll find another source for info on the bill.

Shows that it has just been filed, not currently on the calendar, etc.

And here is an article about the bill, which includes info about another bill introduced that would require ultrasounds, and also “that the constitutions and laws of the United States and Missouri must protect the rights of an alternatives-to-abortion agency and its officers to freely engage in activities without interference”. Here’s the text.

Just so I’m clear, this basically means that those asshats effectively kidnapping women and intentionally making them miss appointments, or tricking women into thinking they’re going to a health clinic when in reality they’re going to be held against their will and forced to be slut shamed and generally tortured for a few hours… all those assholes doing that would be effectively untouchable, legally, if this goes through, right?

God, the more they lose power in this country, the more desperate they are to take it back, aren’t they? I think it’s going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better.
